One of our favorite groups, Trout Fishing in America, performed this weekend at Eureka Springs’ venerable city auditorium, The Aud. This wonderful facility is just a half a block away from Cliff Cottage Inn, on Main Street, and features comfortable vintage seating and superb acoustics. The duo of Tout Fishing in America gave a very lively performance, featuring not only superb instrumental work on guitar, banjo, electric bass (and something I had not seen before – an electric concert double bass in the shape of a traditional double bass neck with a support stick out the bottom) but also new vocals from their upcoming CD. During intermission, both musicians mixed with the audience and shared performance stories. We were thrilled to have had the opportunity to catch this class act and to be able to share it with some of our guests at Cliff Cottage Inn.
